  • QUINCY SQUARE ADDRESS. Katie is currently working to change 4th street to Quincy Jones Place.  She will contact the group in the near future with an update.

  • THE WEBSITE NEEDS LINK JUICE. If it makes sense for your company.  Please link www.quincy-square.com to your webite. ​

  • QUINCY JONES MUSIC DISCOVERY CENTER.  Steve would like to create a focus group around Quincy Jones Music Discovery Center.  This group will work similarly to the 4th Street Action Group but will work to determine what the center will ultimately be.  some of the questions asked, who should be in this group? How big should it be?  Steve would also like to develop messaging kit to explain what the discovery center is, how it fits into Quincy Square and what will be offered there.  Look for the focus group invite from Steve sometime in November.   

  • MAYOR WHEELER AND CONTINUED SUPPORT.  Wes did not meet with Mayor Wheeler prior to our meeting.  Instead, believes the QS group should all meet with Mayor Wheeler together and show him how the project is progressing and encourage the mayor to continue to support our efforts.  As well as helping to craft an overall "master plan" for this project with everyone who is involved (i.e. private investors, city officials, etc). 

  • WHAT KINDS OF BUSINESSES SHOULD BE IN QUINCY SQUARE.  What kinds of businesses to we want to attract to 4th street? 

  • STREET CONSTRUCTION ON QUINCY SQUARE DELAYED.  The city work on Quincy Square will be delayed a year.  But the private side of construction (buildings) will continue as planned. 

  • PROMOTION OF QUINCY SQUARE.  Murals painted on the windows is still an option.  We've made contact with the artist, she is happy to give a quote.  We just need to decide on what she will create.  Perhaps we discuss this via email chain or at the next marketing meeting.
