2. CONFIRMING OUR "WHY, WHAT & WHO"

  • THE WHY: Establish Quincy Square as the central gathering place for the city of Bremerton ("Place Making").

  • THE WHY: Inspire the youth to explore music and self-expression, and help create/discover many more Quincy Jones.

  • THE WHAT: Provide a fun and safe space for all people to discover and enjoy experiencing art and culture. (i.e. Roxy, Quincy Jones Music Project, Steven Holl west, Axe and Arrow, Ish, etc)

  • THE WHAT: Offer programs and opportunities for youth to learn to play music, perform live, music production and more. (ie. Quincy Jones Music Project, school partnerships,etc.) 

  • THE WHO: Locals first (i.e. young people who need a safe place to be, Bremerton residents, people who want to live here again, etc)

  • THE WHO: Artistic folks (musicians and music lovers) looking for a place to see live music

  • THE WHO: Tourist and general fans of Quincy Jones

3. "PHASE ONE" MARKETING - 4 to 8 months

What is the purpose of our marketing?

  • 1. Create general awareness and generate "buy-in" throughout the community.

  • 2. Educate and explain what Quincy Square is and what it has to offer the community.

  • 3. Reinforce the vision of Quincy Square to the public, garner political support, and create investor interest.

  • 4. Create partnerships with local schools and college to encourage youth participation in Quincy Square.

What kind of content will we release?

  • 1. Concept renderings of Quincy Square 

  • 2. Video (broadcasts of musicians playing in QS2, spotlights of businesses in QS2, interviews, etc)

  • 3. Posters with information about what's to come. 

  • 4. Historical information about Bremerton's musical history.

  • 5. Murals painted by local artists and local youth.

  • 6. Live performances of people busking in QS2.   

Where will our content broadcast?

  • 1. Quincy Square Facebook, website, and email newsletter.

  • 2. Kiosks in Quincy Square. 

  • 3. Inside the windows of the empty buildings in QS2.

  • 4. Table tents or on menus in restaurants in QS2.

  • 5. Before movies at the Roxy.   

How often will our content be released?

  • 1. TBD

Markers of success.  How do we know it's working?

  • 1. More people attend Quincy Square public meetings.

  • 2. Foot traffic increases in Quincy Square. 

  • 3. Public officials show more support (verbally and financially)

  • 4. More people engage with Quincy Square online.
